Gotta give props to the new animation team. It took them a while but they’ve finally reached the same quality of the old studio
It definitely took some time to look better, especially compared to season 9, 10 and 11, but I still miss the old animation style from the Mill.
I still don’t know if the rumors are true or not or if they got confused with Mill Film, though.

The fact that Ballistic actually hums to Beyond the Sea at 1:27 - 1:30 means that the song canonically exists within the Apex universe and by extension, the Titanfall universe
I loved the part where all the teams are fighting and crypto is just sitting there watching with his drone. Truly an apex experience

I think that is a tease for an update to his passive. Hopefully to where he can’t be detected by scans and motion based things (i.e. caustic traps).
Love how Apex always mixes/changes the songs they use to fit the trailer. This rendition of Beyond the Sea is awesome

This is why I use it in close proximity to enemies, I mean Maggie gets shotgun bonuses so I always pick one up has her if I can (if not, ARs and/or SMGs, either way I use close range weapons) so I'm close to enemies when shooting so just launch it at them from like two metres away and BOOM!
That part where Ballistic/Arsenal/Caliber uses his ulti and fires everyone in the air while his teammates are hallucinating watching him, it was pure gold

I haven’t seen a single negative comment about this trailer, and it’s understandable, the voice acting, the music, the way it all fits in with Ballistic’s style, it’s brilliant, you can see all the effort the apex team put into this masterpiece, well done to all of you at apex that worked on this, it’s truly a work of art

I loved it when the lifeline used her care package in the middle of a fight only for us to be targeted and for the loba to take all the loot only for her to be instantly killed. Truly an apex experience.
Man this trailer was great and I don’t know if it’s just me but it really gives off bio shock vibes not just the music but also ballistic reminds me of Andrew Ryan just a bit I’m definitely gonna have to play this season

I play the game for the competitiveness, the gunplay, and i also enjoy the maps. This is the first time i enjoy the personality of a character just from the trailer, without having to warm up to it
Personality is dope, just don't make an 80 yo guy a top athlete, please. I know it's fiction and fantasy and all that but even within those bounds there exist some lines of plausibility and immersion.

Hands down one of the best characters in apex ever.
I haven’t felt this excited about a Legends introduction with so much excitement and interest since S1 with Octane and S4 with Rev. This guy Ballistic came in with Swag, Alpha aura, and showing that the old dog still got some new tricks up his sleeve.

I absolutely love this trailer and I want to give props to whomever created Ballistic!!! I swear he is a interesting character so far and without knowing much information I'm finding myself to love his personality so far. He reminds me a lot of like a older Mirage or a Johnny Cage type? Which is a character archetype that I enjoy a lot.

Edit: I didn’t expect this comment to get attention. I didn’t mean to rag on every legend since season 4, I like Loba and some others (her story event was peak, fight me), but the stories started getting boring when New Castle popped up. His trailer was cool, but I preferred him dead.

Some true apex moments we noticed in the trailer:
1: Ballistic sneaking up on Loba and Bangalore with 0 audio
2: Octane stimming into an enemy and immediately dying
3: Mirage immediately being picked out from his decoy
4: Crypto sitting and doing nothing while watching with his drone
5: Ash missing all of her shots from point blank range
6: Maggie's ult doing nothing
7: a team of 3 losing to one individual

Honestly this is my favorite trailer out of all of them. And his characterization feels way less forced and way more fun than a lot of others before him. It just makes me want a tv series in this style. Borderlands meets Arcane in style, almost. With the calibre of voice actors for this game? I would watch that in a heartbeat! Definitely getting back into the game because of this

@hush even Ash has never been all of those things at once. She can be tactical sometimes, cold all the time but never perfect. She can be one of the two but she's never all of the above in anything except her release trailer but that's forced.

As an Ash main can confirm. It's almost like I ping the location I'm going and the location of where I'm placing the tear wait a second and then go for no reason at all so my team stays in a 5 party and gets wrecked while I managed to heal like I wanted us all to do considering it isn't worth staying in that kind of firefight.
